About Us
The Advanced Bioinformatics Core (ABC) is a core facility funded by the National Research Program for Genomic Medicine, Taiwan. The core is comprised of four teams that have a wide range of expertise on information technology, genomic statistics, comparative and functional bioinformatics. Team members come from the Institue of Information Science, Academia Sinica, the Institude of Statistical Science Academia Sinica and the Institute of Biomedical Informatics, National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan.The objective of the ABC is to facilitate the access and use of bioinformatics and systems biology resources by scientists, especially the experimental biologists and medical researchers. The ABC strives to become the information center for the biomedical research community in Taiwan by providing free of charge consultation, value-added databases, genome, transcriptome, proteome, pathway analyses and other routine services.Current collaborations of the ABC have emphasized on cancers, highly heritable diseases, and infectious diseases.
